Welcome to NooHo M55 Gallery

NoHo/M55 Gallery occupies an excellent space on West 28th Street in New York’s Chelsea arts district to honor and continue the history of artist-run galleries in New York City.  Some of our members have been making and showing their art in New York and around the world since the 1950s, and our younger members are proud to be part of that lineage.

While commercial galleries tie value to sales, artist-run galleries permit artists to mount shows completely free of market pressures.  Our artists anticipate some sales revenue, but we are largely driven by our love of art and our passion for exploration and freedom.
