ARTIST’S STATEMENT

Looking back on 2020:

The year of the Pandemic, George Floyd Protests; Alternative Facts;

Adrift in Introspection and Social Isolation;

Searched my Sketchbooks and Journals for Forgotten Images, Half-baked Ideas, and Random Doodles to develop into paintings;

Returned to Architectural Imagery to affirm my Sense of Place;

The seemingly Haphazard Imagery I painted in 2020 reflects a year of fear, uncertainty, and loss;

The Theme of 2020 was Themelessness; Now it’s time to Move On.
