Views of the suburban built environment.

I admire close observation but work mostly from imagination, with a glance or two at a reference sketch or photo, playing with form and color to intuit my way into a feeling that animates objects and the space surrounding them. I work almost exclusively in acrylic paint, which (though I miss the smell of turpentine) enables extravagant multi-layering within the close bounds of my patience.
